I had the privilege of hosting a book signing of my book “Slot Car Racing In Popular Culture” at Autobooks – Aerobooks in Burbank California on Saturday September 6th, 2025, and had the pleasure of meeting Jay Leno, host of the Tonight Show for 22 years, and Jay Leno’s Garage.

It’s been one year since I retired. In the past year I’ve taken trips through the Southwest, raced a 24-hour slot car race in Tacoma, WA, and spent four weeks in Japan. When asked, “How is retirement?” I find that my go-to answer is, It’s highly recommended!” And I mean it. Stay tuned.
June 6, 2014 was my final day teaching at El Sereno Middle School. Twenty-five years… Not a bad run!
I even got a cake out of the deal!
