Currently teaching Intro to Computers course to 34 students in a PC lab, primarily introducing Microsoft Office. *Note: Have been a Mac user since 1987.

Taught eighth grade sheltered English as part of an interdisciplinary team. Used a variety of technology including computers, closed captions, video, projection systems, one-computer teaching, as well as computer lab instruction. Have taught all levels of ESL, and middle school grades of English. ESL Department Chair (two years). Part of Los Angeles Unified School District team that developed district-wide ESL curriculum. Instrumental in providing school-wide in-servicing in computer use and sheltered English instruction.

Taught “Introduction to Computers” based on an integrated curriculum that I designed: “The Phony Baloney Business Project.” Using ClarisWorks, students created fictitious companies, demonstrating usage of drawing, painting, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Final projects were presented to the class, who posed as potential investors.
